Mobile applications (apps) are applications developed for small handheld devices such as mobile phones, smartphones, PDAs and many more. Mobile applications (apps) can come preloaded on the handheld device as well as can be downloaded by users from app stores or the Internet.
Mobile applications (apps) are generally small, individual software units with limited function of that. This use of software has been popularized by Apple Inc. and its App Store, which sells thousands of applications for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch etc.
